I've been pretty busy this semester... juggling two internships, a job, and going to school full-time. I feel like nothing I'm doing is getting done to the best of my ability, leaving all my projects and work, completed... half-ass. So today I quit my Friday internship in Long Beach at a high-end wedding photography studio. I hate quitting, it's not something I do, or usually see as an option, so it was a difficult decision which made me sick to my stomach all day. So now, Fridays will be spent at my other internship. I'll be able to work there three full days a week, while being paid. Hopefully this will lead to bigger jobs which will lead to portfolio work. The internship I quit was unpaid and I wasn't able to spend enough time there to actually learn and get a lot out of the experience. It's sucks though, it was a really fun environment with nice people and beautiful work...
So here's to not being spread thin and making good work. Phew.

modest mouse and martin starr
On Monday night my friend BETH and I went to see Modest Mouse in her hometown Visalia, CA. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive North from LA. It was a pretty good show, the sound wasn't too great, but it was a cute theatre, a nice and cozy type of feel. We headed back to LA at 1:00 am and got home around 5:00 due to the 5 being closed at Indiana. I went to work at 10:00-5:00 the next day and got a text from my friend Jake saying he had free tickets to see Modest Mouse in Hollywood. SOOO, naturally, I saw them again on Tuesday night. But the BEST part of the night was seeing Martin Starr. He will always be, my Bill <3 <3 <3

"excuse me, can i listen????"
On Tuesday my MINDY and I went to see LYKKE LI @ the Glass House. I really love going to her shows, she's a really great performer- so fun LIVE cause you can 'DONCE, DONCE, DONCE'. . .
Story time.... {but first a little background info}
I don't consider myself a confrontational person, due to the fact that I really didn't start talking to people besides my parents til around 4, but regardless, I'm not one to confront people, close friends sure, but strangers, definitely NO. Anyways at the show we were standing on a platform and this couple decides to join us. They proceed to move on to multiple make out sessions as well as the eventual ass humping. The show finally starts and this girl decides to stand in front of me. Not such a big deal but I'm 5'2! So I did the whole, moving my head every four seconds to get a clear shot, it wasn't so bad. Then the couple decides to have a fight. Arguing, whining, all in my face. I grab this girl by the shoulders, turn her around, point to Lykke Li and say "I like her, can I listen?" I surprised her, needless to say, and she got scared and scooted a good two feet over (after her boyfriend proceeded to call me a bitch) and didn't bother me anymore and ended up moving to a different section after two songs. I felt bad ass for a brief moment, and then immediately felt that I should apologize, but told myself to stay strong, and strong I stayed.

Soooo Gooooood.
So I've mentioned the 'Buffy Bar' by Lush, but the 'Ocean Salt Cleanser' is BY FAR the most amazing product I've used on my face. EVER. It's a blend of 'Vodka margarita that exfoliates and cleanses tired skin.' It smells so yummy and makes your skin sooo incredibly soft. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth ever penny!!
